Cloth-backed, paper covered boards; printed paper title label on the spine; a very bright and fresh copy; in addition to the illustrated plates, there are 2 tipped on reproductions. A beautifully printed volume cataloging some of the earliest items printed by the Daniel Press over its first decades in Frome before Daniel removed the press to Oxford.

This is the paper wrapper variant of the hardcover binding. Table of contents, preface, introduction, bibliography. An effort to bring together the varied publications of the Daniel family in Frome, England, including the Ruthven Press. List of sizes of editions and their printers. Also with an addenda to the Madan bibliography of the press, The Daniel Press: Memorials of C.H.O. Daniel (Oxford: 1921). Includes books, church ephemera, and bookplates. 48 color plates and two tipped-in facsimiles. Many are from Alfred Daniel's years as vicar of Holy Trinity Church in Somerset.
