Rare translation by Caroline Peachey with a memoir of the author and "100 illustrations chiefly by foreign artists". Dark brown, full leather boards, gilt spine titles, moderate shelf wear, rub.Pages generally very good; few w/chip, edge wear. Nearly a dozen plates and numerous partial page illustrations throughout. Bind good; flyleaf adhered to pastedown; front, back hinges reinforced. Solid, intact example.
