Charles Scribner's Sons, 1893. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1893. No Edition Remarks. 323 pages. No dust jacket. Blue paper covered boards with gilt decoration, with grey cloth to spine. Contains black and white illustrated frontispiece, with other plates throughout. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Visible water staining to rear endpapers, and some pages and plates throughout; no text or image is affected. Binding is firm. Mild cracking to front hinge. Deckled edges. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Heavy water staining to spine and rear panel, causing discolouration to the former. Moderate crushing and splitting to spine ends. Heavy rubbing and scuffing overall, with other noticeable marks.
