Green cloth darkened along outer joints, otherwise a nice clean, straight copy w/a better than average good+ dust jacket. -- Nice signed inscription on the front paste-down by the author/artist: To Gene Slocum / I think you'll like these / two ponies as I'm told / you liked "Smoky"/ Best of Luck/Sincerely / Will James '39. -- Inscription takes up about 1/2 of the page and is in a clean, strong, bold hand. Overall condition Good+ (w/out the darkening of the cloth on outer joints the book would be very good+ condition) in a Good+ dust jacket. -- Has the Scribners (A).
