About This Item
New York: Dell, 1948. 1st thus . Soft cover. Good. First Dell Mapback printing #221. It can be described as good at best. The front hinge is a bit loose. There is overall creasing and wear to edges and extremities and modest soiling. There's wear to the spine ends. There is an old book dealer's stamp to the inside of the rear end paper. But it's an early David Goodis book, and a great one. Original publication date of 1946 cited but actual date of this edition was 1948. It was the basis for the 1947 film of the same name with Bogart and Bacall.
