Fantasy & Science Fiction, 1978. Magazine. Very Good +. Magazine. First Edition/First Printing. The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger as it first appeared in the magazine Fantasy & Science Fiction. These 5 installments were published before the Grant edition was released in 1982. Minimal wear to all items as stated below. This set is housed in a custom slipcase. Part One The Gunslinger in October 1978, This copy has some defects. Moderate reading wear, tanning to the text block edges, some soil to rear cover, missing chip and light creasing to front cove. This is the first appearance of part one of the original Dark Tower series that appeared in serial form in 5 parts in this publication prior to the release of the 1982 Grant edition. Part Two The Way Station released April 1980. A square solid tight very carefully read copy. This copy has some light rubbing wear, light cover soil to the rear cover. This copy has a stain to the top edge of the text block which resulted in a light stain to the top of the last half of the magazine which has not invaded past the top margin. This is the first appearance of part two of the original Dark Tower series that appeared in serial form in 5 parts in this publication prior to the release of the 1982 Grant edition. Part Three A square solid tight unread/unused copy. This copy has some light cover edge wear, mailing label, browning to the edges of the text block, some lightish soil to the text block edges, light cover soil. The first appearance of part three of the original Dark Tower series that originally appeared in a 5 part serial in this publication and preceded the Grant 1982 release. Part Four The Slow Mutants released in July 1981. A square solid tight possibly unread copy. This copy has tanning to the edges of the text block, light rubbing, corner clip to the front cover. This is the first appearance of part four of the original Dark Tower series that appeared in serial form in 5 parts in this publication prior to the release of the Grant edition. Part Five The Gunslinger and The Dark Man released in November 1981. A square solid tight copy. This copy has light rubbing wear, mailing label, light creasing to the front cover, browning to the edges of the text block, short tear to the front cover, slight lean. This is the first appearance of part five of the original Dark Tower series that appeared in serial form in 5 parts in this publication prior to the release of the Grant edition. This complete set has some problems as mentioned above. Still complete sets are not easy to find. THIS COPY IS IN MY POSSESSION AND NORMALLY SHIPS NEXT DAY. .
