DARTMOUTH COLLEGE EARLY 1920s PHOTO ALBUM

11" x 7 1/4" photo album with just under 300 photos. One photo near the beginning of the album is dated 1922 within the photo. Most photos are attached to the album pages with glue, appear to be made between the years 1922-1925.

Photos made between 1922-1925 vary in size from 2 7/8" x 2" to 6 3/4" x 4 3/4". Many pages throughout are cluttered with images while other pages possess only one photo. Some images appear to be family photos while others focus attention on a cast of students at what looks to be Dartmouth College. Several pages are dedicated to the debonair scholars, featuring portrait after portrait. I suspect that many of these men were in a fraternity together.

There is one photo that looks like Edward, the Prince of Wales, while other photos include campus building's exteriors and interiors; leisure activities: including skiing, trips to the waterside, boating excursions, and trips to the mountains. And more family portraits.

Eleven lose color photographs made between approx. 1977-1981, many of which are of an older gentleman "CFA". One photo is a smiling CFA after receiving an honorary award at the American Red Cross Annual Dinner May 7, 1981.

A newspaper clipping from November 13, 1979, provide the distinguished obituary of a Dartmouth alumni, Robert Thompson. I don't believe that this album was his, but he was probably a college buddy. There is also a ticket stub for a football game between Dartmouth and Cornell from 1925. A few photos are detached, but all the photos look to be there. None of the photos are identified, but it is a nice look at the student body from the early 1920s.
