Nolan, the distinguished grand old master of Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Suspense, and Hardboiled author, racing enthusiast, screenwriter, editor, biographer and chronicler! This Casebook contains a penetrating biography of Hammett, plus a lengthy check-list of approximately 250 items by DH: books, short stories, articles, poetry, reviews, letters and intros, as well as his projects for movies and radio. In addition, there is a listing of more than 100 articles about Hammett from many sources. William F. Nolan (born 1928) is also the award-winning co-author with George Clayton Johnson of the Sci-Fi classic, Logan's Run (nominated for a Hugo & Nebula), and the definitive biography, Hammett: A Life at the Edge (1983). The Dashiell Hammett Casebook was originally published in 1969. Nolan was voted a Living Legend in Dark Fantasy by the International Horror Guild in 2002. He also has the honorary title of Author Emeritus by the Sccience Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America.
