Macmillan. Hardback. 82pp. First edition in book form as originally published in The Spectator.Illustrated by Hugh Thomson for the originals of what became in later editions known as the Macmillan "Cranford Series". Black and white frontis. Very attractive gilt illustration and titles to green cloth. Gilt to all edges. Gilt decorations are very clean and bright to front but a little dull and faded to the spine. cloth binding is very clean. some wear to head of spine. Dark green endpapers are sound. Hint of foxing to prelims and occasional page margin. Good+, sound copy . Hardback. 1886.
