With 4 b&w plates bearing drawings by various artists. In full dark red cloth-covered boards w/titling and decorations stamped in black on cover and spine. 1905 date appears in book, but likely published ca1910s-1940s. Lacks a dust jacket. --- With prior owner's signature on front free endpaper, a black soiled spot on cover; else a firm, clean copy. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 431 pages .
Synopsis
The Day's Work contains twelve of Kipling's tales that focus on work, employment, and labor from different perspectives. Some of the stories include: "A Walking Delegate," "The Bridge-Builders," "The Tomb of His Ancestors," and "William the Conquerer," among others.
