DDT was cheap, effective, and an ecological hazard, The author chronicles the use of DDT around the world from 1941 to the present with a particular focus on the United States which has played a critical role in encouraging the global use of the pesticide. DDT was a tool of U.S. foreign policy as it solved the problems of disease and famine in the third world, but created others up to the time of its banning in 1972. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
