About This Item

Garden City: Doubleday & Co., 1968. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. The 29th and final book in Van Wyck Mason's long-running spy-thriller series featuring G-2's Colonel Hugh North, this time trying to secure a vital communications link in Tangiers on the "hot line" connecting Russia and the U.S. until a maverick, erratic sputnik with an illegal H-bomb warhead can be brought under control. Red Chinese and Albanian agents are believed to be targetting the Tangiers relay station. Remnants of a price sticker on the inside front cover, o/w boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square, not remaindered. The dustjacket shows a lightly age-tanned spine and edges, with a small stain at the botom of the spine; a quarter-inch tear on the top edge of the back panel, other slight surface and edgewear but 99% whole with no significant flaws. Not price-clipped. Collectable.
