Wakefield, UK: The Fleece Press, 1991. Fine binding. Letters sent by Joan Hassall to her mentor Sydney Cockerell during a trip to Europe underwritten by Cockerell. Quarter bound linen over decorative paper covered boards and paper title panel to the spine. One of 220 copies printed by Simon Lawrence of The Fleece Press. Two postcards from Simon Lawrence to Rosalind Lorber regarding the book. This copy belonged to Ms. Lorber, who was, among other things, a calligrapher and cover designer for Random House. Fine binding.
