The top edge of the dust jacket is lightly creased & there is a very light circular glue mark to the front panel, apparently where a sticker has been removed. xiv, [i] & 220 pages plus colophon. Near fine in a very good dust wrapper.

First edition.

Signed by Yvette Eastman on the half-title.

The sixteen-year-old Yvette Eastman met Theodore Dreiser in 1928 when he was fifty-eight. He became her lover and remained central to her life, as lover, father figure and mentor, until his death in 1945.
