About This Item
New York, NY.: Simon and Schuster. Very Good. 1947. First Edition. Hardback in dust jacket. 1st edition bound in lightly rubbed black cloth with bumped lower corners and fading gilt lettering along the spine. Contents complete in 310 pages which are toned along the edges and margins. The dust jacket is edge worn with a small chip loss at head and tail of the spine along with small stain and slight black residue along the upper edge as a result of a previous jacket cover. --- From the American First Editions collection of Donald C. Scriven (1948-2019). Don relished points of issue and the primacy of the dust jacket but above all he loved the literature! .
