Austin, Texas: Jenkins Publishing Company. Fine+. 1980. Limited Edition. Stapled Wraps. Fine+/Like new. Orange card stock cover with black lettering. Issued by Jenkins Publishing Company in December 1980 in a limited edition of 450 copies. Includes matching bookmarks with note "Seasons Greetings from John and Maureen Jenkins" printed in blank ink. The item was sent by John Jenkins to his best customers and friends. Jenkins was a prominent Texas antiquarian bookseller and high stakes gambler, as well as a suspected arsonist and forger. His body was found in a river in 1989 with a gunshot wound in the back of his head. A recent biography of Jenkins by Michael Vinson, Bluffing Texas Style, has been published by the Univ. Of Oklahoma Press. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; Unpaginated pages .
