Maroon cloth over beveled edge boards, title and decorations stamped in gilt onto upper board and spine, top edge gilt, 12mo (7-3/8 inches tall), pp. vi, 270. Volume with minor wear to spine ends and corners and a couple of small cracks to hinges, spine gilt dulled. First printing of the first edition with "LOVELL" stamped in gilt at foot of spine.
