Faber & Faber Ltd, 1949. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1949. New Edition. 222 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth with darkened gilt lettering to spine. Pages are lightly tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Occasional marginalia and underlining present throughout, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Former owner's name and pencil inscription to front free endpaper and paste-down. Pen inscription to page 222. Mild cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with mild bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning and sunning to spine, with visible crushing to spine ends. Boards are subtly bowed. Glue residue on front board.
