About This Item
Longman, Hurst, Rees, and Orme, 1810 Translated from the Danish, this a an early study of the Faroes. Original full leather worn and marked, boards engraved in a net pattern, decorated spine worn top and tail, gilt all round, brown eps, marks of a removed plate, a small armorial plate, and the name plate of Scottish author Margaret Elphinstone to the front paste down, small name and address dated 1816 to prelims, fold-out map, engravings. Occasional foxing, but generally clean, tight, sound, good.

We are based in Wigtown, the Scottish Booktown. Our shop is a converted stables, fully wheelchair accessible, and has a small peaceful garden where you are welcome to sit and relax with your books.
