Signed by Thesiger Signed limited edition, number 70 of 250 copies signed by the author on the limitation page, of the 1993 re-issue, with new foreword, of a title first published in 1979. "This book has always been a personal favourite, capturing as it does... my affinity with the nomadic way of life... I am delighted that after a considerable time out of print... this new edition [has been produced] in the part of the world where the happiest days of my life were spent" (Foreword). Quarto. Publisher's tan morocco, title in gilt to the spine, raised bands framed by single gilt rules, single fillet gilt frame to the boards, marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Housed in publisher's brown cloth and marbled paper slipcase with leather patch label lettered in gilt to the upper side (front edges a little rubbed). Profusely illustrated from the author's photographs, many double-page spreads bled into the gutter. The binding sharp, internally crisp; a fine copy.
