Worn copy with broken spine of first US edition in homemade dustjacket of purple paper on which is pasted title and author name from original dustjacket. Signed with best wishes by Coward on the ffe. Theatre-themed bookplate on the pastedown of Howard Robert Newman whom IBDB lists as a writer, and author of the short lived Broadway show "Brooklyn Biaritz" in the winter of 1941.
