Octavo; 225pp. Illustrated paper wraps. Light bumping and creasing to bottom front corner, with some toning along spine and fore-edge. A few glue marks along gutter between front cover and half title, with a stray string from binding exposed. Binding is sound and pages unmarked.

A collection with introduction and expansions by the co-authors of documents by British diplomat Gilbert MacKereth, who acted as His Majesty's Consul in Damascus in the inter-war period.
