About This Item
New York: St. Martin's Press, 1995. First edition. Cloth. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8.5" by 5.5". None. The first US edition of this mystery novel by Marian Babson. 'Marian Babson' is a pseudonym for Ruth Stenstreem, an American mystery author with a large body of work. Her novels primarily revolve around mysterious deaths, though some of her books are more in the line of gentle thrillers than actual mysteries. The publisher's tagline for her is "Murder Most British", and the style of the books reflects that: the violence is not graphically described and the sleuths are usually bumbling amateurs. First printing. In a full cloth binding with unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent. A little shelfwear to the boards. Dustwrapper also excellent with one tiny tear to head of front wrap only. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean throughout. Near Fine
