The C. T. Brainard Publishing Co.. Fair. 1908. Hardcover. Complete 15-volume set. Edition de Luxe, #141 of limited edition of 1000 copies. Three-quarters leather over marbled paper. Binding is solid on eight volumes, and the other seven have only minor weakness (no splits, but some threatening). Pages unmarked and only slightly aged. Frontispieces have tissue protective page; other illustrations are fine. Gilt top edges (some a little rubbed). Deckled fore-edges. Leather is green, faded to brown on spines. Corner leathers are generally worn, with boards poking through on some. Spine covers on seven volumes only have some wear to top and bottom; three others have tears or holes; Volumes X and XIII have major tears; and IX (Christmas Carol) has very little spine cover at all. .
