[5], 6-701, [3], 1-27, [5] (pages of publisher's advertisements) pp. Brown cloth with gilt lettering on the front board and spine, gilt decorations on the spine; all edges lightly marbled. Floral endpapers and pastedowns. Illustrated with a full-page portrait of Darwin. A later German printing of Darwin's classic, On the Origin of Species. A touch of rubbing to the cloth, overall a sharp example.
