Handwritten paper labels on spines and titles in pen on ffep. Paper toned in some volumes, variable paper used. Sammelband of five 13th century titles bound in two sturdy uniform volumes. Small green bookseller ticket of Gustav Lots Buchbinderei, Papierhandlung, Merseburg. Bookplates on both pastedowns of Thomas Curtis Van Cleve (1888-1976). An author who taught history and political science at Bowdoin College, specializing in the Middle Ages, history of political theory and English constitutional law and served as an intelligence officer in both world wars..
