About This Item
Wein / Koln / Weimar: Bohlau Verlag, 2002. 262p., scattered illustrations from very old family holdings (portraits mostly), genealogical chart, first edition hardbound book in openweave green cloth and laminated green dust jacket, alkaline paperstock, placekeep ribbon bound in. Faintest edgewear to dj, a fine clean unmarked copy. Of broad-based San Francisco booksellers in the second half 20thC,, the Bernard of the Rosenthals was let's say the cleanest. Howell was sullied by offenses against female staff, and Ian Jackson's amazing influence was circumscribed and oddly modest.
