Kristiania: H. Aschehoug & Co.s Forlag, 1898. Hardcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. Norwegian language. Bound in textured green cloth with titles and decorations stamped in gilt. No additional printings. 154 pages plus index. Decorated endpapers; all edges marbled. The play, Wessel's most famous work, occupies the first 85 pages, followed by 29 poems. Bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad to the front pastedown, otherwise unmarked. The cloth shows only a hint of edgewear with just a touch of light foxing to the spine. A clean, tight copy. Uncommon edition. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
