Two volumes; Quarto; pp; I; 400; II; 401-800; richly illustrated in color and black and white; dark blue cloth, gilt, marbled endpapers in a gilt lettered slipcase with a paste on color photograph of the "Yankee Clipper" standing in at the plate. Perhaps the greatest pure hitter in the history of the game and the holder of one of the unbreakable records, the 56 game hitting streak.
