First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. the century co had no special mark showing first editions prior to 1928, it would probably be safe to label this a first edition, on the FFEP is the authors greeting and signature .most cordialy yours, Anne Bosworth Greene, below this is a few short lines most probably by the previous owner our friends and fellow members of the hartland nature club. I have visited her in her homes in South Woodstock VT and , looks like, Trigon, N.C on the back paste down and facing page are two regular size envelopes glued down with one saying Anne Bosworth Greene and the other Bertha Oppenheim Inside the Green envelope is an article from the Vermonter State Magazine Vol 29, 1924. written by Arthur Wallace Peach on Contemporary Vermont Writers. This being the ninth in a series on Anne Bosworth Greene. The other envelope has an article on Bertha Oppenhein which from the typeset looks like from the same magazine. Deckle edges on side and bottom. Page edges are browning and have mild foxing. A couple of pages in the middle must have been uncut along the edges and someone appeared to not use caution to seperate them and tore the page edges. about 4 half moon edge chips. The corners have bumping and wear. The head and tail also has some bumping and mild wear The cover is faded with some soiling.
