St. Louis, MO: The Queen's Work, 1935. One of numerous pamphlets by this Jesuit priest, writer, & editor, this explaining the evils and perils of telling dirty stories. Nice cover art showing a table of fashionable young people smiling and looking at something off-stage, while an older woman holds and infant and looks reproachfully at them; in the background is a country club with golfers, a swimming pool, & tennis court. Lord is best-remembered for authoring the initial draft of the Hays Hollywood movie Production Code in the 1920s; he also supported social & racial justice. Stapled pamphlet, as pictured; first printing, list no later printings. Shows light edgewear, minor chipping, light creasing. Text clean; 32 pages + list of other booklets in this series on the inner back cover.. First Edition. Staple Bound Pamphlet. Very Good. 3½" by 6¼".
