About This Item
G.P. Putnam's Sons. Used - Very Good. 1935. Hardcover. Cloth, dj. Some general wear to dj. with some loss at extremities, especially at the lower edge of the front panel (part of the word Admiral is lost). Some rubbing to binding, esp. at lower edges. Front hinge starting; small tear at top of front free endpaper. Signed by Byrd on the half-title. There is also a gift inscription on the half-title; the recipient's bookplate is affixed to the verso of the frontispiece. Apart from the flaws noted above, a nice copy with clean text and no yellowing of paper. First edition (stated). Very Good. (Subject: Exploration).
