Scarce cold war document about the American terrorist activities in Czechoslovakia in the early 1950s.

On October 10, 1951, the United States enacted the so-called "Mutual Security Act of 1951" under which 100 million dollars had been allocated for the financial support of the organization of sabotage, espionage, terrorist and military actions by American agents in non-NATO countries, such as in The Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Albania. The present book, issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czechoslovakia in 1952, includes the documentation of the correspondences of the Czechoslovakian ministry and the Embassy of the United States, following the ratification of the Act, and lists of arrested agents.

The publication starts with the protesting letters of the Czechoslovakian Ministry of Foreign Affairs against the Act from December 7, 1951, February 8 and October 13, 1952, including a short list of the cases of American agents apprehended before the enactment of the Mutual Security Act. Following this, there is a list of 25 American agents captured by the Czechoslovak security authorities during the first half of 1952 with a more detailed description of their cases. Lastly, the book contains an annex with 16 full-page photographic reproductions of documents, forged by US Army Counter Intelligence Corps, different types of equipments of American agents, such as hand grenades, pistols, radio equipment, spy camera, etc, as well as photographic documentations of the victims of terrorist attacks.

Extremely scarce, we could only trace three copies worldwide (one in the Library of Congress).
