Decorated cloth (that is, hard covers) pp. x, 285, 32 publisher's advertisements 'A Catalogue of Books, published by Chapman and Hall, 193, Piccadilly. November, 1859'; viii, 280. With Illustrations by H.K. Browne, one of which, 'The Virgin of Osaro Sneezeth', is absent. First Edition. An ownership inscription on the front free endpaper of vol. two. Head and foot of spines worn, the head of vol. two with the loss of 15 mm of cloth; inner hinges split; scattered mainly marginal marks; lower corner missing from rear free endpaper of vol. two; a good set.
