FROM THE LIBRARY OF DESMOND MORRIS WELL KNOWN ZOOLOGIST, NATURALIST AND ARTIST, WITH HIS BOOKPLATE ON FIRST PASTEDOWN. 4to, approxmately 265 x 190 mm, 10½ x 7½ inches, 45 hand-coloured lithographed plates by J. G. Keulemans, and 59 woodcut illustrations in the text, pages: [8], xxxvi, 1-216, illustrations and text on thick good quality paper, publisher's original brown cloth, gilt lettering to spine and upper cover, top edge gilt, others untrimmed, cream endpapers professionally replaced at sometime. Slight bumping to head and tail of spine, title page affected by foxing (see attached image) and a little pale foxing to margins of prelims and index at rear, otherwise a very good clean copy.
