Good/no dustwrapper. 8vo. frontispiece map 1st Edition of Ranken's account of pastoral and agricultural industries, and trade and banking in 19th-Century Australia, with chapters on commerce, banking, mining, politics, climate; Ferguson 14720; frontispiece fold-out map; this copy bound in three-quarter calf with marbled boards, raised bands, maroon title labels to spine with gilt titling; former owner's name to front endpaper, glue marks (binder's) around edges of endpapers, medium foxing to prelims, very occasional minor ink emendations in text, tape repair to one page of contents, o.w. Good throughout; boards lightly rubbed, leather a little rubbed, worn at corners, loss to title label (some loss of titling).
