About This Item
London: Readers Library, 1926. Photoplay edition issued to coincide with the British release of the MGM silent film swashbuckling epic starring John Barrymore, Mary Astor, and Myrna Loy. Very good copy with a thin split to the rear hinge in a very good dust jacket with a 1/2” chip at the head of the spine and some tiny tears and small chips. The front panel of the jacket is a full color painting of the dashing Barrymore kneeling to kiss the hem of Astor’s gown. The rear panel painting shows a pensive Barrymore leaning against a table toasting with a glass of wine.
