A scarce pretty copy of this printing of the French theatrical version of Don Quixote that was performed for the first time in Paris in June 1864. Bound in three quarter green leather with five raised bands and gilt titling. Green marbled paper covers. Marbled endpapers. The binding has chips and bumping and a small tear along the top right edge of spine. t.e.g. Interior pages are clean. Bookplate of Franklin Johnston affixed to front pastedown. Very good condition. Measures 5.25 x 7.5 inches. 183 pages. FRENCH/050420.
