Retold by Judge Edward Abbott Parry and illustrated by Walter Crane. xii, 245 pp + 2 p publisher's ads. Colour frontispiece and 10 other colour plates, colour title page, 19 half-page b/w illustrations, all as called for. Attractively bound in terracotta cloth with lettering and decoration to spine and both boards. Fore and bottom page edges untrimmed/deckle. Binding a little worn, corners rubbed, spine tips pushed and rubbed. Ex Libris book plate and some markings to front endpapers, spotting to front and back eps. Light age-toning to paper. Toning and spotting to page edges, creeping onto page margins in places. Contents o/w clean with only a few minor marks. Overall a good copy of this delightfully illustrated book. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Additional photos can be sent on request or these may be viewed on my listing.
