First printing. 249 pp., frontis ill. plate plus 3 more plates in text, octavo format in red buckram, gilt titles on spine and front board, plus illustration of pitcher in gilt and white. A very attractive copy very firm in binding, with no owner's marks, no tears to contents, no noticeable soiling to cloth, no real fading to cloth or gilt. Just slight wear to lower tips, expected age-darkening to front and rear endpapers. An above-average copy of this scarce early baseball book.
