Signed. First Edition. Near Fine / near fine. Inscribed to Francis Jenkins Pickens, noted alumnus and internationally famous jeweler and metalworker on the occasion of the centennial of the University and the commemoration of the career of Cora Stafford, founder of the School of Visual Arts. The late Francis Pickens was named Distinguished Artist of Hawai'i and is shown at the Smithsonian, as well as internationally. Book and jacket are near fine with only light toning and shelf wear. The book is signed 'Francis' the front free end page with a non personal inscription. On the half title page the book is inscribed to Pickens by the late Brig. General Alfred Hurley, Chancellor of the University, and by Jack Davis, Dean of the School of Visual Arts.
