Vizetelly, War Correspondent 1870-1 Hardback, 1892, first English language edition, published by Chatto & Windus, London, 534 pages + xvi + 32-page publisher catalogue at rear. Octavo/8vo, measures around 7 1/2" by 5 1/8" by 1 1/2". Black cloth binding, pictorial detail to front board and spine, gilt lettering to spine. Some marking and scuffing to binding, fading to pictorial detail, particularly on spine. Tearing to outer hinges and tearing and chipping to head and tail of spine. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and especially at corners, which are torn and bumped. Some slackness and strain to binding, some cracking to inner hinges, but holding. Page edges browned, scuffed and marked. Embossed seller stamp to front free endpaper, occasional thumbing and other marking to page surfaces but otherwise reasonably clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
