A detailed study on the dragonflies of the British Isles, with the life-history of the dragonfly, a key to the identification of species, wings and bodies of dragonflies, methods of collecting, classifications, and more. Written by Cynthia Evelyn Longfield, an Anglo-Irish entomologist and explorer who was the first female member of the Entomological Society. Illustrated by William Frederick Evans and Cyril O. Hammond, both British entomologists and illustrators. In the original green cloth binding. Externally, smart with rubbing to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Minor age toning to the extremities. Previous owner's ink stamp and ink inscription to the front endpapers. Very Good
