Black-and-white photographic frontispiece, showing the Skipton Players, 25 October 1947. Bottle green boards with gilt writing on the spine. Plain text dust wrapper, with green and grey background and black and white coloured titles to the front panel and black on the spine. A small manual on how to adjudicate drama festivals. Useful for not only for the adjudicator but also for the actors, producers, and festival organisers. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and to the book corners. Staining to the lower cloth edge and shelfwear to the lower book edge. Browning and foxing to the paper edges. Foxing and browning to the endpapers and previous owner's name to the free front endpaper. Erasure mark to the top right-hand corner of the free front endpaper. Browning of the internal pages. Rubbing and chipping, with loss, to the dust wrapper corners and some small pieces missing from the lower spine edge. The major damage to the dust wrapper is the first 0.5 " of the top spine edge is missing as well as the first 1.5 " of the top dust wrapper edge. The lower spine edge is missing 1.5 " with a further 1.75 " missing from the lower dust wrapper edge. The spine paper edges are rubbed.
