About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1941. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION. The dust jacket only for this Haycraft-Queen cornerstone. The jacket is an early proof state with numerous differences from the published book. The proof is larger than the published, being about 8 and 1/2 inches tall and has several typographical variations, with a War Bonds logo to the bottom of the rear flap and completely different text to the rear panel. Folded at spine edge, otherwise a fine example clearly never having been on a book.
