Octavo, (approx. 5" wide by 7 1/4" tall) green cloth covers with titles and pictorial designs in gilt and black on top cover and spine. viii + 310 pages, plus 1 page of publisher's ads. Some scattered soil on a few pages; sewing is a little loose in a couple of sections, still very good. No dust jacket. Prize bookplate on front paste-down endpaper:Ecoles Paroissiales de St. Pierre-Port Ecole de St. Jean...Prix D'assiduite, dated 1898 -- so this edition is no later than that.
