A January 1937 reprint of the 1936 first edition. Good / no dustjacket. Blue boards with decorative orange title and illustration. End papers illustrated with 1775 - 1783 maps of the Mohawk Valley. Text is clean and without markings. Front hinge cracked, but pages firmly attached. A sound copy showing wear at spine and corners. Previous owner name neatly written at top of FFEP. Basis for the classic 1939 John Ford film with Henry Fonda and Claudette Colbert. Carefully packaged and shipped in a box.
Synopsis
Walter D. Edmonds was a bestselling American author, a National Book Award winner, and recipient of the Newbery Medal. He published over 30 books in his lifetime, and was most popular for his historical novels. He died in 1998.
