First American edition, 240p., illustrated with a prodigal number of plates, mostly b&w, some color, all listed with brief captions, also maps and charts, hardbound in 9.5x6 inch textured boards spine-titled in gilt on an electric blue label, and enclosed in the dust jacket (which features another repro and photoportraits of the authors). Book itself bears a faint sprinkle of foxing to top edge but is otherwise very good, while the dust jacket has mildest soil, and a nasty rub to spine panel which a little spoils its looks. Sound, generally clean, and unmarked by owner or institution, a very good copy.
