About This Item
From the front end flap of the dj: "Although the amount of literature published about the Luger continues to grow this book describes a part of the Luger's past which is still little known: its history in the Netherlands. The Netherlands, one of the first countries to hold extensive pistol trials, from 1899 until 1906, finally made the Luger the pistol the official service handgun for the Dutch East Indies Army and the Dutch Navy." This book, "gives an extensive description of the Dutch pistol trials, the Luger's competitors in these trials, (such as the Browning, Mannlicher, Mauser, Roth and Schwarzlose) and the different models of the Luger in Dutch service." The book and dj are both in excellent condition. The dj is in Brodart. Dimensions and weight approximate. Shipping via Media Mail to the lower 48 US only.
