G. Waterhouse , University of Sydney, who is also famous for his research on camellias - and of Eryldene, his Sydney home in the northern suburb of Gordon, now owned by the National Trust. E. Gowrie Waterhouse commissioned Hardy Wilson to design Eryldene, where Waterhouse housed his collection of decorative arts, established a famous camellia garden, and presided over the International Camellia Society.
